Cara Instal Cygwin di Windows XP

Untuk menginstal Cygwin di Windows XP, ikuti langkah berikut:

• Cari setup.exe pada installer cygwin. Klik ganda pada file ini.

• Muncul splash screen Cygwin. (contoh versi 2.416) Klik Next.

• Pilih Install From Local Directory. Next.

• Tentukan root directory dan default text file type. Next.

• Local Package Directory tidak usah diubah. Next.

• Pada select package, pilih cur, kemudian klik pada icon di sebelah tulisan All hingga tulisan di sebelah kanan icon berubah menjadi Install.

• Tunggu proses instalasi.

• Jika beres, tentukan apakah icon Cygwin akan ditampilkan di start menu atau desktop icon? Finish.

Setelah Cygwin terinstal, untuk menjalankan Cygwin ikuti langkah berikut:

• Start, All Programs, Cygwin, Cygwin Bash Shell.

• Muncul tampilan console berikut.
